www.wix.com Go to Michael Lorde’s interactive webpage to read sections of Blind Veil and find out more about this exciting new book! How does an incident that occurred forty years ago and in the South Western United States affect the life of a New York City Cop today? What does he do when the world he knows suddenly seems but a mere illusion? Is the officer slowly losing his grip on reality, or could the things he was told by an odd scientist, and while under duress, actually be true? Those are the questions that Simms, a former US Marine, must dig years into his past to find answers to, in Michael Lorde’s newly released book ‘Blind Veil’. The story begins in the 1960′s when a crime goes unreported due to social tensions. Now decades later, one simple boat ride will forever change Simms’ fate. No matter what his investigation uncovers, one thing is certain; neither answer he seeks will offer him his old life back. Is he crazy or is it indeed much, much worse? I was captivated from beginning to end! It has a unique plot that is quite believable. It has well developed characters that you love to love, and love to hate! Plenty of twists and turns. It’s a fast moving read that kept me wanting more! I highly recommend it if you like crime fiction, science fiction or conspiratorial stories. Michael Lorde is a promising up and coming author- I can’t wait for the sequel… bring it on!! Blind Veil by Michael Lorde is really suspenseful. I literally could not put it down, and had

  1. To me, the “for Dummies” books are great for what they are — a compact (if less dieetlad) explanation of a complex concept, geared toward people that don’t already know much about it. They’d probably suck as the only reference, but they go a long way toward helping someone who’s new to the concept wrap their minds around it, without oversimplifying to the point of being wrong. That’s more than i can say for a lot of other books. Sep 27 ’10 at 18:41
