Upcoming Indie Sci-fi/Drama 'Zoe and the Astronaut' is crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The producers are reaching out to Sci-Fi fans everywhere to support this emotionally moving film about a Teenager suffering with Leukemia who meets a mysterious young Astronaut who crash lands near her home. The film is shooting in London this August and is hoping to bring something new to the British Sci-Fi scene.

I found the original film of this series surprisingly enjoyable (I am not a particular fan of the superhero genre, but somehow seem to watch a lot of the films) and posted my review of that film on this blog in December 2011. So I looked forward to this sequel with more than usual interest.

The Intruders is a new BBC America horror series set to premiere August 23, 2014. Glen Morgan is running the show. Horror & paranormal fans will recognize that name as he was a writer & executive producer of The X-Files.

Penny Dreadful (Showtime)
